LLC Photo 15–18 years old: Honourable Mention (as a Reportage)

WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES (New Zealand)

The photo of the duck and the plastic bag within a community of academic students, shows that rubbish littered by humans might not affect them directly but it is a severe issue to the animals that live on the school site, particularly the birds around us. They will think of plastic as potential food which will kill them if they consumed bits of it. This photo is to remind us to be mindful of other living organisms as we are not the only ones on this planet. Banning all single-use plastic bags utilised for Litter Duty each day at school would avoid this contact between our daily generated rubbish and our resident wildife.
